New direct flights to be launched between Fergana and Urumqi
Starting April 18, a new direct flight route will connect Fergana with Urumqi.
A delegation from the Fergana region, led by regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, participated in the official launch ceremony of the new air service held in Urumqi.
The event was also attended by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to China, Farhod Arziev.
According to the press service of the Fergana regional administration, the new route is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two regions. It will support the development of trade, economic and investment partnerships, as well as boost tourism. Flights on the Fergana–Urumqi–Fergana route will begin on April 18.
