Uzbekistan to introduce excise tax on mobile services from 2019
In Uzbekistan, excise tax will be introduced on mobile services from January 1, 2019.
The excise tax is introduced in compliance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On forecast of main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2019 and parameters of the State budget and budgetary targets for 2020-2021”.
According to the document, the excise tax rate for mobile services is 15% of the total cost of services.
At the same time, legal entities (mobile companies) providing mobile services to customers, from now onwards will pay only 2,000 soums for each of its subscribers per month.
