Over 200,000 Uzbek citizens will be employed in foreign countries in 2019
In accordance with the draft State Program “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”, Uzbekistan will introduce mechanisms that will stimulate the creation of new job places.
According to the document, the draft resolution of the president will be developed and the State Employment Assistance Program for 2019 will be approved.
The program envisages:
- creating at least 221.5 thousand permanent jobs in the sectors of economy and entrepreneurship through implementation of the state procurement mechanism;
- attracting 191.5 thousand people to entrepreneurship through micro-crediting by commercial banks in line with targeted programs;
- creating opportunities for 200,4 thousand people to find employment abroad
- providing 338,7 thousand people with job places through Employment Assistance Centers;
- using different methods of social assistance, such as vocational training, legal and other types of counseling for citizens. So that they gain particular skills for certain jobs.
Deadline for execution of the project is January 30, 2019.
Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, State Committee for Investments, commercial banks, Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and Tashkent city are responsible for its implementation.
