Taking photos, video recording to be permitted in all areas with the exception of places where there is a banning sign 

In accordance with the presidential decree “On additional measures to accelerate the development of tourism in Uzbekistan”, taking photos and video recording will be permitted from March 1, 2019 onwards in all areas with the exception of places where there is a banning sign. 

According to the document, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Border Troops of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with concerned ministries and departments will submit a list of prohibited objects, public places and territories permitted for photographing and video recording until 1 February 2019. 
 
The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, administrations of regions and Tashkent city are instructed to fix appropriate indicators for banning photographs and videos in two or more foreign languages (English, Russian, etc.) by March 1, 2019. 
 
It is noteworthy that in situations where there are no banning signs, photographing and filming will be allowed with no worries.
