A citizen of the USA and Gulnara Karimova’s former husband Mansour Maksudi claims part of the funds (that belongs to Ms. Karimova) frozen in bank accounts in Switzerland.
Kun.uz correspondent reports about it referring to the Swiss newspaper Der Bund’s interview with Maksudi.
According to the publication, Mansour Maksudi and his brother Farid want to get 100 of the 800 million francs frozen by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Swiss Confederation in 2012 on charges of Gulnara Karimova and a group of people in money laundering.
For information, Gulnara Karimova got married to Mansour Maksudi in 1991. They divorced in 2001.
“During the divorce, all property of Mansour and Farid in Uzbekistan was collected. Their shares in the Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan were transferred to the Swiss Zeromax through an intermediary firm,” Der Bund writes.
