Ignatiy Nesterov moves to the Saudi Arabian FC Ohod
A goalkeeper of the Uzbekistan national team and PFC Lokomotiv Tashkent Ignatiy Nesterov will play for Saudi Arabia. This is reported in the Twitter account of the FC Ohod.
Ignatiy Nesterov has signed a contract with the football club Ohod based in Medina (Saudi Arabia). Terms of the contract are not yet publicized.
For information, the FC Ohod plays at the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Stadium in Medina city which is designated for 24,000 people.
Currently, the club is ranked 16th with 6 points after 16 rounds in the Saudi Pro Football League.
It should be reminded that Ignatiy Nesterov announced that he has completed his activity in the national team of Uzbekistan after the Uzbek team was knocked out by Australia during the 2019 AFC Asian Cup’s quarterfinal matches by series of penalties.
He has been the main goalkeeper of the national team since 2002. Nesterov together with the team secured the fourth place in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. He has supported the national team in total of 105 games.
Goalkeeper Nesterov played with Samarkand “Dinamo” (in 2000-2001), Tashkent “Pakhtakor” (in 2002-2009) and another club of the capital “Bunyodkor” (in 2009-2013). Since 2014, he has been defending the honor of the FC “Lokomotiv” Tashkent.
