Ignatiy Nesterov was imposed a ban on football due to doping
The Asian Football Confederation Disciplinary and Ethics Committee has suspected a goalkeeper of the Uzbek national team and the Saudi Arabian FC Ohod Ignatiy Nesterov of consuming prohibited substance and banned him from football. It is reported by the Goal SA.
Reportedly, the FC Ohod appealed to Saudi Arabia Football Federation requesting registration of another goalkeeper instead of Nesterov.
To date, Nesterov played twice in Ohod and the team won both matches. In the final match against the FC Al-Taawoun, he was not listed in the register.
According to the report, Nesterov’s doping test gave a positive result while he was attending the Asian Cup in January along with the national team of Uzbekistan. Soon, he should go to Malaysia, to AFC headquarters and give explanations on results of the doping analysis.
It should be noted that there is no official information on the AFC website in relation to Nesterov's positive doping analysis and his dismissal from football.
