Deputy prime ministers, ministers and chairmen of state committees to be approved by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Decree “On priority measures to increase the responsibility of the Cabinet of Ministers for effective implementation of strategic objectives of socio-economic development of the country”.

The followings are envisaged starting from April 1, 2019:

approval of the Deputies of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministers and candidates for the chairmanship of state committees by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan approves;

assessment of the performance of executive authorities at all levels and their managers on the basis of the quality and effectiveness of implementing short, medium and long-term programs of strategic development of targeted indicators, branches of economy, social sphere and other spheres;

systematically carrying out governmental thematic mobile (open) sessions on the territory of the Republic with the participation of representatives of local executive bodies, heads of territorial administrations of public administration, public organizations in order to study the ongoing reforms in specific areas and directions.

Below are effective from April 1, 2019:

In the process of consideration and approval of the candidates for the post of Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and Chairmen of the State Committees of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, they are required to provide action plans that envisage legal, economic, social, organizational-technical measures for achieving perspective goals and objectives;

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with members of the Government shall submit quarterly reports to the chambers of Oliy Majlis on implementation of the State Program of the President of Uzbekistan for the corresponding year.
