Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan eye to create machine and tractor stations
According to Komil Rashidov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, the sides are planning to jointly create machine and tractor stations.
Rashidov also stated that Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are considering other fields as well for cooperation in creation of enterprises.
“GSP+ status that Kyrgyzstan enjoys and its membership in the Eurasian Economic Community open up genuine opportunity to create joint projects,” Rashidov noted.
As of 2017, Kyrgyzstan had 5 trade-logistics centers and the biggest one (3,000 tons) is in Sokuluk.
One trade-logistics center with the capacity of 2400 tons is located in Balykchy, the remaining three 1000-ton centers are located in the southern part of Kyrgyzstan.
Additionally, Kyrgyzstan has 422 cooperatives.
