MPE uses US experience to fight bullying in schools

The Ministry of Public Education (MPE) of Uzbekistan began a project to prevent bullying in schools and teach positive psychology techniques.

The project aims to increase self-control and prevent bullying, by providing methods for identifying children in depressed emotional state, as well as training in methods of positive psychology, the press service of the MPE reported.

This initiative will be the first step towards expanding the school psychology program. Professor Lori A. Wolf from the USA will take part in the project.

Over the 5-month training course, she will train specialists from Uzbekistan to identify signs of emotional isolation and depression in children, provide general assistance in stress management, and assist school teachers in combating professional burnout syndrome.

Lori A. Wolf is a specialist in the field of positive psychology, the author of several scientific publications and professional presentations. She specializes in stress management among children and teachers, as well as in the recognition of children under stress. She has experience in teaching psychology in various US schools.
