A single certificate for journalists to be introduced in Uzbekistan

The Presidential Decree of February 2 approved the Program for the Development of the Information Sphere in Uzbekistan.

According to this program, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications was entrusted with developing, by 1 June 2019, proposals for:

- raising the status of a journalist;

- the formation of a self-government mechanism for the media community;

- the introduction of a generally established sample of a journalistic certificate.
