Prosecutor's office initiates a criminal case against officials of three cotton factories
The prosecutor's office instigated a criminal case against officials of three cotton factories in the Khorezm region, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The inspection at these plants revealed violations of storage of cotton seeds, caused by the negligence of officials.
"In particular, about 158 tons of cotton seeds worth 539.8 million soums from the remaining in excess of 2018, which after treatment with chemical preparations became completely unsuitable for reproduction, were damaged by pests,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
In accordance with these facts, a criminal case has been initiated against the officials of cotton factories under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are underway.
