Artemiy Lebedev offers a logo for Tashkent free of charge
Artemiy Lebedev offered the Uzbek people to use the Tashkent logo designed by him for free, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let me bring to your attention the newest tourist logo of beautiful and sunny Tashkent. Now the logo can be officially used for free by anyone for any Tashkent-related purposes – print it on T-shirts, make covers for iPhones, put a logo on your website, menu folder in a hotel and so on. In short, the logo can be used for anything you wish. The main thing is that Tashkent city and business gets a benefit,” Lebedev said on his Telegram channel.
It should be recalled that the concept of logo, proposed by Lebedev, caused heated discussions in social networks. Many people said that this is frankly weak work and paste-pot job, others did not expect a worthy work for free. At the same time, some Uzbeks supported the proposed concept noting its versatility.
On February 4-15, an exhibition of works by participants in the competition for the best symbol (blazon) of Tashkent is being held in the complex “Kitob olami”. It will end with a solemn ceremony announcing the results of the competition, awarding the finalists and author of the best project.
310 projects and proposals were submitted for participation in the competition. It was attended by 118 artists and designers. After discussing the work, experts identified the finalists.
Out of five final works, the best project was selected and was submitted for discussion to the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies in January. The deputies held hearings and recommended getting the opinions of the townsmen. This will be necessarily taken into account while presenting the best project for approval by the Tashkent city administration.
