School principal got fired for abusing his power by forcing teachers for periodical subscriptions
The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan has studied the case of forcing teachers of the secondary school 10 of Yangiyul district in the Tashkent region, press service of the Ministry of Public Education reports.
In the process inspection, director of the school Shavkatjon Rizayev announced that each pedagogue would receive a salary for January of this year in the form of cash and forced them to get subscribed. He repeatedly violated his entrusted responsibilities with such actions.
Reportedly, on December 28-29, 2018, employees of the ministerial legal-monitoring service detected the involvement of some of the school teachers in conducting the census and brought the school principal into legislative responsibility for his inconsistency upon delivering his responsibilities under Article 181 (Part 1) of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. However, the school director ignored the disciplinary punishment applied against him. It was again found out that he had been illegally collecting money from teachers for the subscription of 8 types periodicals for 2019.
According to the results of the study, the Public Education Department of Tashkent region canceled the employment contract with the director, the report said.
