On February 15, a video with participation of National Guard officer was posted on the Telegram channel of “Ekho Uzbekistana”, Uz24.uz reports.
The video contains a description of the event in one of the entertainment centers in Kokand. According to the video footage, an officer of the National Guard entered into the karaoke hall and hid a knife under the pillow on the sofa, and then left the room. Later on, officers of police department came into the room to conduct inspection. During the search, the same knife was found under the pillow, and then the owner of the center was charged with storing cold weapons.
The publication communicated with the head of the press service of the National Guard Davron Jumanazarov to clarify the details of the incident. According to Mr. Jumanazarov, in fact, the person in the video is their employee. Leadership of the National Guard has been informed about this.
At present, an investigation is underway. Appropriate measures will be taken against the dishonest employee. Jumanazarov said that he would be dismissed from the National Guard.
