14 new metro stations to be commissioned in 2019
First deputy governor of Tashkent city for architecture, master construction and communications development Davron Khidoyatov said that 14 new metro stations will be commissioned this year.
“This year we will hand over two underground stations in Yunusabad district. In addition, the Yashnabad metro line will be commissioned. These are about 12 stations,” he said.
Three projects are being implemented in the capital. These are constructions of the Sergeli and Yunusabad branches, as well as the ring metro line. In 2017, the authorities resumed work on constructing the Yunusabad line of the Tashkent subway, which has been frozen for many years. The length of the remaining section is 2,9 km.
In turn, total length of the underground metro line will be 52,1 km, the average speed of movement – 60 km, mileage across the line – 1 hour 10 minutes.
Last year, the president visited Yashnabad district and got acquainted with the progress of construction work. Then he gave instructions to commission the first line of the ground metro on the eve of celebration of Navruz in 2019.
