Five people detained on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border for stealing gold items

Border guards of the Kyrgyz Border Service in Jalalabad have detained persons suspected of stealing gold jewelry in cooperation with the police. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reports about it.
According to it, the theft took place in a hypermarket of Jalalabad. Five suspects were detained by border guards when they attempted to cross the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border through the checkpoint "Madaniyat-avtoyul".
"During an investigation, it was identified that they have been carrying the previously stolen gold items. The detainees were handed over to officers of the Kyrgyz Interior Department in Jalalabad province," the report said.
