New natural gas mine found in Andijan
During a two-year exploration of Bulakbashi district of Andijan region, two gas and one oil mines were discovered.
The first natural gas mine was discovered in November 2017. During an oil exploration at Uchtepa village, it was identified that there were natural gas deposits at a depth of 1080 meters. It is reported that this mine is capable of providing a gas flow of 2300-2400 cubic meters per hour at a pressure of about 100 atmospheres.
At the beginning of 2018, as a result of drilling 4 wells in the area, another gas mine was discovered. Currently, the extracted gas is being delivered to consumers by the regional gas utility company “Uztransgaz” in Andijan region.
According to Kun.uz reporter, another natural gas pit was revealed in Uchtepa village.
Since July 2018, specialists of the JSC “Kokand drilling works” have been conducting geological explorations and drilling on an oil well “Yura-1”. At the beginning of this year, they detected the existence of a natural gas mine at the depth of 1,150 meters. According to experts, the amount of gas coming out of this pit is 205,000 cubic meters per day at a pressure of 100 atmospheres.
At the same time, the natural gas is being managed and various technical tests have begun. Once all the systems have been processed, natural gas will be supplied to consumers.
