“WTO is ready to assist Uzbekistan in improving agriculture” – Alan Wolff
A meeting with the Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization Alan Wolff was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, the Ministry’s press service reports.
During the meeting, WTO delegation was informed about the ongoing reforms in the country aimed at liberalizing agriculture, noting the vector to reduce the role of the state in the agrarian sector.
Deputy Director-General of the WTO noted the readiness of the organization to assist Uzbekistan in providing experts to reform the sector of agriculture.
It is noteworthy that the meeting participants discussed the current state of the preparatory works for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
