Ex-Minister becomes First Deputy Minister of Agriculture
By a presidential decree, Shukhrat Teshayev was appointed First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
As First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, he will oversee the issues of cotton growing, grain growing, mechanization of agriculture, and also analysis of the needs of agriculture in water resources.
Prior to his appointment, he served as deputy khokim of Fergana region on the issues of agriculture and water management.
Shukhrat Teshayev was born in 1969 in Bukhara region. In 1993, he graduated from Tashkent State Agrarian University.
Over the years, he worked as Deputy General Director of the Uzbek cotton research institute, general director of the scientific-production association “Pakhta”, as well as Minister of Agriculture and Water Management.
It should be reminded that at the end of January this year, the former Minister of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev became Minister of Agriculture.
