WBA announces new rating of professional boxers: Ergashev up to lines
World Boxing Association (WBA) has announced the new ranking of professional boxers. According to the report of GoSport.uz, the Uzbek boxer Shokhjakhon Ergashev (16 – 0, 14 KO’s) improved his position.
In February, Shokhjakhon Ergashev, in the super lightweight (-63,5 kg) category, rose one step up to the 4th place. Another Uzbek boxer Shakhram Giyasov, who ranked 15th a month ago, was not included in the rating.
It should be recalled that on Feb 15, Shokhjakhon Ergashev conducted a successful fight against American Mykal Fox (19 – 1, 5 KO’s), which ended in his favor. His next bout will take place on April 13. A 10-round fight will be held in Boardwalk Hall of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Shakhram Giyasov, on the other hand, defeated Mexican Edgar Puerta (25-12-1, 19 KO’s) with a technical KO On February 23. He will conduct his 8th fight on April 26 at the Forum Palace – a popular casino center in Englewood, California.
In the updated rating, Murodjon Akhmadaliyev, super bantamweight class fighter (-55,34kg), is in the first place and maintains his title as major claimant for world championship title.
Also, Isroil Madrimov (1 – 0, 1 KO) remains in ninth place in the super welterweight (-69,85kg) category.
