President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the opening ceremony of the ice complex Humo Arena, which will be held on March 15 in Tashkent.

Also, visit of the Russian stars of world hockey and figure skating is expected. At the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation, Kun.uz correspondent was informed that they are counting on the arrival of world champion and Olympic medalist Pavel Bure (in the list of the 10 greatest hockey players in the entire National Hockey League history), as well as Olympic champion and three-time world champion Valery Kamensky.

Among the invited guests, there are also members of the government and parliament of the country, heads of regions, representatives of public organizations, scientists and culture workers, famous athletes of Uzbekistan, paralympians, the diplomatic corps, pupils of children's sports schools and orphanages.

The main idea of the opening ceremony is a synergy of the beauty of winter ice sports, the ice arena, its uniqueness in architecture and multi-purpose.

The compositional display will be carried out through modern art with light, laser and sound design approaches, vertical and horizontal projection, unique scenery, 3D animation, performances of artists, dance groups, acrobats and aerial gymnasts, figure skaters, hockey players and other sports. All the action on the main stage and the ice rink will be a symbiosis of art and sport.

The scene of the main celebration will be transformed into the Olympic square, where masters of summer and winter sports will show their skills – boxers, wrestlers, taekwondo players, footballers, fencers, young figure skaters of Uzbekistan, as well as students of the Tashkent hockey school together with the legends of world hockey. Young figure skaters of Uzbekistan, as well as students of the Tashkent hockey school together with the legends of world sport will show their skills on ice in an improvised game.

The ceremonial opening of the complex will continue the ice performance “Nutcracker”, as well as a grandiose musical show program.

It should be recalled that the construction of the multifunctional ice complex Humo Arena began in February 2017.

The complex is a modern high-tech glass and metal building. Smart and green energy efficient technologies are widely used in construction of the complex. The new ice complex combines modern architectural solutions, advanced technologies and traditions of national architecture.
