President signs new decree on cargo and passenger transportation system that cancels several requirements from July 1
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a decree “On measures to radically improve the cargo and passenger transportation system”.
According to the document, from July 1, 2019 onwards, proposals of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and the Agency “Uzstandart” on abolition of the followings have been approved:
a) order of paying the state duty for issuing license cards for shuttle cars used in international traffic;
b) mandatory certification of the followings:
Trailers and semi-trailers for transportation of new trucks and special vehicles produced in the European Union countries, as well as cargoes for transportation of goods, meeting requirements of the ecological classes “Euro-5” and “Euro-6”;
transportation-forwarding services;
c) requirement for the availability of cash registers for vehicles used for the carriage of passengers, if there is a possibility of electronic registration of passenger travel;
d) requirement for certification for compliance with qualification requirements:
individual entrepreneurs dealing with the transportation via motor vehicles;
presence of a staff member who is responsible for the operation of vehicles and traffic safety, as well as the head of the legal entity upon passing attestation in the prescribed manner;
e) requirement for the presence of vehicles in the balance of legal entities for obtaining a license for dealing with the carriage of passengers and goods.
