Family expert Jamila Shermukhamedova proposes creating Men's Committee in the country

Family expert Jamila Shermukhamedova proposed the creation of a men's committee in the country. The proposal was made during the presentation of books “Family Encyclopedia” and “Encyclopedia for Women” in the Information and Mass Communications Agency.

“At the event, there was a proposal to create a committee of men in the country, similar to the existing Women's Committee,” the agency’s press release said.

Shermukhamedova also proposed publishing a book “Encyclopedia for Men”.

“Speaking of divorces, it is wrong to compare the indicators of our country with European countries and reassure ourselves that their number is less. This is not constructive and may worsen the situation. Therefore, I very much agree that the topic cannot be hushed up. We must study and analyze the root causes leading to the breakup of a family in order to take effective measures. In Uzbekistan, the family is based on national values and Eastern culture. And I think that such literature aimed at their popularization, the cultivation of spirituality should be more. Therefore, I propose to publish an “Encyclopedia for Men”. It is necessary to raise the status of fathers in bringing up children and the role of men in family,” she said.
