Tashkent to host a meeting of Uzbek-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation
On March 7, 2019, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Secretary General for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria Johannes Peterlik, who arrived in our country on a working visit, the press service of the MFA reports.
During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Austrian relations, as well as interaction within international structures were reviewed.
The sides noted with satisfaction the recent dynamics of fruitful bilateral contacts at various levels. As was emphasized, the ongoing expansion and deepening of interstate relations is in the long-term interests of the two countries.
The productive character of the talks between the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Uzbekistan and Austria held on November 22, 2018 in Brussels allowed to determine the priority areas for the development of cooperation in the future.
The conversation also considered the preparations for the next meeting of the Uzbek-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in April 2019 in Tashkent and organizing a business forum within its framework.
At the meeting, there was an exchange of views on other issues of the common agenda.
