Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover increases by 25.4%
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in January-February 2019 amounted to $6.39 billion and grew by 25.4% compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
The volume of exports reached $3.03 billion (growth rate 20.4%) and imports - $3.35 billion (growth rate - 30.3%). Foreign trade surplus amounted to $319.2 million.
In the first 2 months of 2019, export of goods and services was $513.7 million more than in the corresponding period of the previous year, while imports of goods and services increased by $779.6.
According to the results of January-February 2019, enterprises engaged in the exports of goods increased by 281 in comparison with Jan-Feb 2018 and reached 2096.
The share of the CIS in the foreign trade turnover of the republic was 31.4%, while it was 68.6% with other foreign countries.
