The unemployed who wish to start a business will be given $260 in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, the unemployed who wish to engage in entrepreneurship will be given subsidies in the amount of 2.2 million soums ($260) to cover expenses related to starting a business.
This was approved by the presidential decree “On the state order for provision of employment and creation of new jobs in 2019”.
According to the document, unemployed persons who have expressed a desire to engage in business and have registered with the Employment Promotion Centers will receive grants in the amount of 2.2 million soums to pay for expenses related to starting a business.
In addition, employers will be allocated 810 thousand soums (around $100) monthly for half a year to pay for expenses related to the retraining of an employee who has been hired through Employment Promotion Centers.
Organizations that recruited people from socially vulnerable segments of the population, at the same time, exceeding the minimum number of quota places, will be granted 405 thousand soums (around $50) monthly within a year period.
And for the purchase of small greenhouses, grains, tree saplings and irrigation equipment, entrepreneurs can receive subsidies in the amount of 608 thousand to 2 million soums ($70- $238).
