Prime Minister Aripov criticized, warned two district governors in Tashkent city

On 26 March this year, Tashkent city administration hosted an extended meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. Expected results of the first quarter of 2019 on revenues of the state budget and the work carried out in Tashkent for increasing remittances to the budget were discussed in a critical way.

According to the press service of the Tashkent city administration, in the first quarter of 2019 revenues of the state budget has been forecasted to reach 4 trillion 485 billion soums. As of March 25, 2019, the plan was completed at a rate of 3 trillion 683 billion soums or 82% respectively.

The approved State Budget plan on the implementation of revenues was made up of 67% in Uchtepa district, 69% in Mirabad district, 74% in Bektemir district, 76% in Yunusobod district, 77% in Mirzo-Ulugbek district, 83% in Shaykhantakhur district and 83% in Sergeli district.

The governors of Mirabad and Uchtepa districts, their first deputies, as well as heads of state tax inspections of these districts have been strictly warned about shortcomings on executing the plan.

In the Shaykhantakhur district, the governor and his first deputy, the head of the district tax inspection, has been reprimanded for failures in implementation of the state budget revenue plan and other shortcomings.

Also, in the case of non-fulfillment of the forecast due to the first quarter results, heads of four sectors in districts of Tashkent city and first deputy governors of districts have been warned that severe penalties will be imposed against them.

During the meeting, Deputy PM – Minister of Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov and Chairman of the State Tax Committee Bekhzod Musaev also strongly criticized the activities of the district officials and set specific tasks for the implementation of the plan by the end of March – district officials have been tasked to make the remaining revenues of 801.9 billion soums in the short term.
