A draft resolution on the procedure for monitoring the contract value of fruit-vegetable and textile products exported from the Republic of Uzbekistan was publicly disclosed.
It was proposed to set up an export cost control over “recommended” 38 positions of fruit-vegetables and 147 positions of textile products. It was envisaged that these prices were also announced on the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade: every 10 days on fruit and vegetable products, textile products – monthly.
This draft document has led to a variety of reasonable disputes between the public, especially farmers, gardeners, entrepreneurs and experts.
According to the publication “Khalk suzi”, the draft resolution was critically analyzed on March 28 during a conversation with the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov along with businessmen and experts.
In particular, the document outlines the factors that affect the business environment for exporters and impact significantly on price formation.
Consequently, a decision to remove this draft document, which was expressed negatively by businessmen and experts, from the public discussion has been made.
