Uzbekistan to lease land in Belarus for livestock farming and export

Enterprises from Kashkadarya region are set to launch a large-scale agricultural project in Belarus, involving the long-term lease of land for livestock breeding and the export of Uzbek produce.

According to the Dunyo Information Agency, an agreement has been reached to secure 4 hectares of arable land in Belarus for these purposes.

In the initial phase of the project, the parties plan to establish a facility for grazing 1,000 head of cattle on the leased territory. The arrangement was finalized during a visit by a delegation from Kashkadarya region to Belarus, where representatives from the enterprises Asl Yuksalish Savdo and Muborak Qorakolchilik met with officials from the Siroti livestock farm located in the Shumilino district.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation conducted a thorough study of livestock complexes and commercial facilities across several Belarusian regions to ensure the viability of the partnership.
