The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the rational allocation of crops and the forecast production volumes for the harvest in 2019.
In accordance with the decree in 2019 in the republic:
- it is planned to cultivate vegetables on 135,641 and melons on 60,156 hectares of land, to produce 2,875,640 million tons of vegetables and 1,059 million tons of melons and gourds;
- 853,905 thousand tons of vegetables, legumes and melon will be planted between rows on 292 hectares;
- on 824,350 thousand hectares of land, released from grain cereal crops, repeated crops will be planted, 10,448,780 million tons of products will be produced. It is intended to spend 4,292,707 billion soums on this purpose.
In general, in 2019, the country will produce 13,396,437 million tons of agricultural products, out of which 1,858,789 million tons will be exported to foreign markets.
It is noteworthy that Uzbekistan plans to produce 1,490,660 million tons of potatoes in 2019, 1,056,903 million tons of it are targeted for domestic consumption.
