GM Uzbekistan to resume sales of cars in Russia
Reportedly, GM Uzbekistan will soon resume deliveries of Ravon cars to the Russian market. In March 2019, an approval of the type of vehicle for the Ravon R2 hatchback appeared in the Rosstandard database. In addition, such sales had already begun in Belarus, Autostat.ru writes.
According to the company's official website, the export of models to Belarus is open from April 3 – the first batch has been sent. This suggests that the company has finally decided on its pricing policy and at this stage nothing prevents it from returning its “state employees” to other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The GM Uzbekistan website also says that since the beginning of the year, cars made in Uzbekistan have already begun being exported to neighboring countries – Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
In Belarus, Nexia R3 (converted Chevrolet Aveo) and Ravon R4 (Chevrolet Cobalt) are now offered.
It should be recalled that the supply of Ravon cars into Russia stopped in the spring of last year. Judging by the data of the analytical agency Avtostat, in the first quarter of 2018, dealers sold about 1,500 vehicles a month, in April sales fell by almost half, and by the end of the year the rates dropped to zero.
