Number of divorces increased in Tashkent

In January-February 2019, 769 divorces were registered in Tashkent, which is 131 cases more than last year for the same period. This was discussed at a meeting organized in Tashkent city administration with the participation of representatives of the scientific and practical research center “Oila” (Family).
According to statistics, 48% of those who went to court are divorced because of systematic family conflicts, 16% do not live together, in 9% of cases childlessness of families serves as a cause, migration problems entail divorce in 7% cases, 6% blame their partner for adultery, 3% are not satisfied with material difficulties, 2% of families part because of alcohol or drug addiction of the second half.
Based on these data, the situation needs to be analyzed. It was stressed at the event that responsible government bodies should work more actively with those who strive for saving their families and provide necessary help.
