Hundreds of people complain about soaring house prices in Sergeli district, Tashkent
Hundreds of residents of Sergeli district, Tashkent, gathered outside the newly-built residential buildings to complain about the rise in the prices for “affordable” housing.
According to the press service of the Tashkent city administration, the main part of the complaints of the population is associated with an increase in the cost of housing in Sergeli district.
“Tashkent city administration took control of the situation. An operational working group has been created that will familiarize in detail with the complaints received, having analyzed the situation, will examine all the appeals of the residents and each of them will be considered in compliance with the law, taking into account all the rights of citizens,” the press service of the capital’s administration said.
The working group includes high-ranking officials from Tashkent city administration, Oliy Majlis Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman), representatives from the Ministry of Construction of Uzbekistan, banks, engineering company “Uzshakhar kurilish invest” and relevant institutions.
