Westminster International School to be established in Tashkent
It is planned to establish Westminster International School in Tashkent. It follows from the draft document published by the Ministry of Public Education.
The main objectives of the school will be:
- identification, selection and training of gifted children, creation of conditions for their all-round development, as well as disclosure of the scientific, intellectual and creative potential of students;
- organizing an in-depth study of the humanities, natural and exact sciences, mastering foreign languages, and information-communication technologies, creating necessary conditions for the development of students' creative ideas;
- introduction into the educational process of advanced teaching methods and knowledge assessment, information and communication technologies;
- implementation of vocational guidance of pupils, developing their skills of leadership and oratory, critical thinking, research, analysis and processing of information, application of the knowledge gained in practice;
- establishing cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions of general secondary and higher education on the issues of ensuring continuity of educational programs, further training of graduates in advanced foreign higher educational institutions and their branches in the Republic;
- realization of wide cooperation with leading foreign educational and research institutions with the involvement of highly qualified specialists, including foreign ones, as well as compatriots working abroad;
It will be a private school in the form of a limited liability company. Training will be conducted in English according to curricula and programs developed in cooperation with foreign educational organizations.
Along with the state education certificate, graduates receive a diploma of a corresponding International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement or International Advanced Levels, which provides opportunity to enter leading foreign higher educational institutions.
