People in Uzbekistan more often die of circulatory system diseases – State Statistics Committee
In January-March 2019, 37,100 deaths were recorded in Uzbekistan, respectively, the mortality rate was 4.5 ppm and, compared to the same period in 2018, decreased by 0.2 ppm (in January-March 2018 – 4.7 ppm).
According to the State Statistics Committee, a total of 41,700 deaths were recorded in the civil status registry offices under the Ministry of Justice, of which 37,100 died this year, 4,600 were registered in January 2019, but died in 2018, according to international recommendations, they are taken into account in the final data of 2018.
At the same time, of the total number of registered deaths in January-March 2019, 63.8% of people died from circulatory system diseases, 9.0% – from neoplasms, 5.2% – from diseases of the digestive organs, 5.1% – from respiratory diseases , 4.3% – from accidents, poisonings and injuries, 1.4% – from infectious and parasitic diseases and 11.2% – from other diseases.
In addition, the number of registered dead children under the age of 1 year was 1,600. 52.1% of kids died from conditions arising in the perinatal period, 20.3% – from respiratory diseases, 16.0% – from congenital anomalies, 2.1% – from infectious and parasitic diseases, 2.1% – from accidents, poisonings and injuries, 0.7% – from diseases of the digestive system, 6.7% – from other diseases.
