World Bank mission to conduct tax administration assessment in Uzbekistan
From April 22 to May 3, the State Tax Committee (STC) of Uzbekistan will be hosting a World Bank mission led by Raul Felix Junquera-Varela, a leading public sector specialist.
“The main objectives of the mission are to assess tax administration, ICT needs, automation and process mapping. The assessment is carried out in close cooperation with the staff of the committee,” the STC reported.
According to the press service of the committee, the assessment of ICT experts will allow to collect data on the general picture of STC’s work. It also helps to identify weak points and ways to improve them.
At the same time, the need and efficiency of covering tax systems with modern technologies will become clear.
In addition, within the framework of World Bank experts’ visit to Uzbekistan, a number of training sessions and seminars for STC staff will be organized.
