The entire oil and gas market expects the results of the on-site meeting of the board of directors of Lukoil, which takes place on the territory of the Kandym gas processing complex in the Bukhara region. This was announced by the Energy Minister of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov.
“I am sure that thanks to this event taking place today, the attention of the world community is directed to Bukhara, to Kandym. Everyone expects the results of the meeting: shareholders, partners of the company - the entire oil business,” Sultanov said.
The head of the Energy Ministry hopes that cooperation with Lukoil will be expanded in the near future and cover new directions.
“In particular, we expect expansion of cooperation in geological exploration. The facilities on three investment blocks in the Navoi region have already been transferred to Lukoil. This is a very promising cooperation. We hope that we will continue to work in the field of deep gas processing,” the minister added.
At the same time, he stressed that Lukoil is the main strategic partner not only for Uzbekneftegaz, but also for the whole republic, as it is one of the largest investors to the Uzbek economy.
