CIS Interior Ministers to meet in Tashkent late May

The following meeting of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan from May 30 to June 1, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a representative of the Interior Ministry of the republic.
On April 25, in Tashkent, a meeting of CIS experts of law enforcement bodies was held. Participants discussed preparations works for the upcoming meeting of the Council.
The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Bureau for the coordination of the fight against organized crime and other dangerous types of crimes on the territory of the CIS member states.
Experts finalized and agreed on the draft documents to be submitted for the upcoming meeting of the council, as well as the priority issues of cooperation within the CIS and implementation progress of interstate programs to combat crime.
