In the Tashkent region, a lieutenant colonel of the colony was found hanged in his office, official representative of the Prosecutor General's Office Surayyo Rakhmonova confirmed to Kun.uz.
“Lieutenant Colonel Asomkhoja Abrorov, who worked as a senior officer of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Zangiota district penal colony in the Tashkent region, was found hanged in his office on the night of April 27,” the message reads.
The body of the lieutenant colonel was delivered to his family on April 28, after an autopsy.
Currently, an inspection is underway on the fact of the death in the penal colony.
It should be noted that about a month ago, the deceased lieutenant colonel was dismissed from the post of the first deputy head at the Akhangaran police department of the Tashkent region and transferred to work in the Zangiota district penal colony.
