Brutal murder committed 22 years ago revealed in Tashkent
The Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Serious Crimes at the Prosecutor General’s Office is conducting investigations on a criminal case initiated under Part 2 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code, the press service of the supervisory department reports.
As it was discovered on February 9, 1997, in the Uchtepa district, the corpse of a man (born in 1962) living in the house No.6, block No.12 of the Chilanzar district was found with the signs of murder, as well as his mother with serious injuries caused by a piercing object.
On this criminal case, an investigative-operational group was created by the Directorate for Investigation. As a result of the comprehensive measures taken, the crime was discovered. It was identified that one man in criminal conspiracy with another, in order to steal other people's property by burglary, inflicted bodily knife wounds on two persons and grabbed available jewels in the house.
“During investigative actions, commitment of a crime by men is confirmed by their confessions, fingerprints found at the scene, face-to-face and other evidences,” Prosecutor General’s Office noted.
On May 27, 2019, both men were involved in the case as suspects under paragraphs “a”, “v”, “j”, “i”, “p” of Part 2, Article 97 of the Criminal Code and were detained in the prescribed procedural order. Investigative actions on this criminal case are conducted by the Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Serious Crimes at the Prosecutor General’s Office.
