By the presidential decree of May 27, 2019, Kongratboy Sharipov has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education. The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education reports.
Sharipov, born in 1963 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, is a highly qualified engineer, a doctor of technical sciences and professor.
In 1987-1991, he was a trainee-teacher, post-graduate student at the Moscow Agricultural Institute of Production Engineers named after Goryachkin, in 1992-2001 - assistant and doctor of philosophy at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, in 2001-2003 - associate dean of the faculty of Agricultural Mechanization at the Institute, docent of the tractor and automobile department, head of the scientific-research laboratory of resource saving technologies.
Additionally, in 2003-2017, he had been General Director of the LLC “ToshkentDAEWOO”, associate professor at the Automobile Technology Department of the Tashkent Automobile Institute, General Director of the Uzbek-Korean JV TOSHAFUS, General Manager of the department for new projects management at the closed JSC General Motors Uzbekistan. And from 2017, he had been working as the rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
