Uzbekistan to gradually introduce a system declaring incomes of civil servants

Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to further improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
According to the decree of the head of state, it is planned to gradually introduce a system for declaring incomes of civil servants and ensuring a sufficient level of their salaries, as well as improving the organizational and legal framework for resolving conflicts of interest during public service.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, together with the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, is instructed to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers proposals on the phased introduction of a property and income declaration system for a certain category of civil servants, including implementation of the necessary measures to create a technical infrastructure and the necessary software.
