Ex-Minister of Public Education replaces Khotamjon Ketmonov as PDPU Chairman
Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) Khotamjon Ketmonov left his post, a source informs Kun.uz.
According to the report, the rector of Namangan State University Ulugbek Inoyatov became the new party leader.
Khotamjon Ketmonov has led the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan since 2013. In March 2015 and in 2016 he was a presidential candidate. He is also the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
It should be recalled that in June 2018, Ulugbek Inoyatov was dismissed from his post as Minister of Public Education and was appointed rector of Namangan State University.
Earlier it was reported that the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milly Tiklanish” Sarvar Otamurodov had left his post. He became the head of the joint-stock company Uzagrosugurta.
