On June 13, the regular plenary session of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis was held. Deputies discussed a number of bills.
In particular, the meeting considered the initiative of a group of deputies aimed at ensuring food security.
According to the deputies, it is necessary to conduct a study on the effects on human health of palm oil imported into our country and the food produced on its basis.
After discussions, the responsible committees are entrusted with a comprehensive study of this issue, to prepare an appropriate conclusion within 10 days.
According to many experts, palm oil is unsafe. It is the most carcinogenic vegetable oil, though it allows to reduce the cost of producing processed cheese, butter, confectionery, chips and other food products.
