Criteria for recognizing a trademark approved
According to the presidential decree, the main criteria for recognizing a trademark in Uzbekistan are approved.
First of all, it is trademark recognition:
• by persons and potential consumers;
• by persons involved in providing distribution channels;
• by business circles.
These are goods and services to which this trademark applies. The notion of the quality level of a product should be related to the trademark in the country.
Secondly, it is a high distinctive ability, inherent from the very beginning or acquired as a result of private use.
Thirdly, the widespread use and advertising of a trademark in Uzbekistan, including through the Internet (the national segment).
Fourthly, commercial value as a result of long and intensive use in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it was reported that applications for registration of a trademark can now be seen online.
