Saudi Aramco eyes to collaborate on Lukoil projects in Uzbekistan
The Saudi Aramco (a Saudi Arabian national petroleum and natural gas company) is interested in Lukoil projects in Uzbekistan, RIA Novosti reports.
In particular, businessmen are interested in the work of two gas projects in the republic.
Lukoil also expects to work with the Saudi oil company on international project, research and development.
Earlier, it was reported that gas production at the Lukoil projects in Uzbekistan would exceed 16 billion cubic meters per year.
Lukoil is investing $2 billion in the existing projects in the Republic, and also intends to conduct exploration on new blocks.
The company has been working in Uzbekistan for 15 years. Its total investment in all projects in the country is about $8 billion. Lukoil took part in the largest projects in the Republic, working on the basis of production sharing agreements for Kandym-Khauzak-Shady and Gissar projects. The cumulative production of natural gas at projects controlled by Lukoil in Uzbekistan reached 60 billion cubic meters.
