TOP-3 countries establishing enterprises in Uzbekistan announced

The State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan has published data on the creation of enterprises with participation of foreign investments. 

According to the report, in 2019, 1,715 enterprises with foreign capital have been registered in Uzbekistan. This is almost twice as much as in the same period of 2018.

Enterprises with Chinese investments became the leader of the rating – 289 business entities. Russian business ranks second (251 enterprises), and Turkey closes the top three (231 enterprises).

This year, Russian business created in Uzbekistan new enterprises in industry (30.7% of enterprises created), trade (29.2%), construction (11.4%), and agriculture (8%), follows from the State Statistics Committee data.

As of July 1, 2019, there were 9,014 enterprises with foreign capital in Uzbekistan, including 1,631 with Russian capital.
