Uzbekistan Airways launches regular flights to Tbilisi
From July 16, the national airline company Uzbekistan Airways began to perform regular flights to Tbilisi.
The Georgian ambassador to Uzbekistan Zurab Abdushelishvili, the Uzbek ambassador to Georgia Sherzod Fayziyev, the head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili solemnly met passengers of the first flight at the international airport in Tbilisi.
At the meeting, participants noted that regular flights between Uzbekistan and Georgia will contribute to strengthening friendly relations and expansion of cooperation between the two states, including in the tourism sphere.
It should be noted that direct regular flights from the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov to the Georgian capital will be operated twice a week (every Tuesday and Friday) on Airbus and Boeing airliners.
