President Mirziyoyev to visit Georgia for high-level bilateral talks
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will travel to Georgia on July 2–3 for an official state visit following an invitation from Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The schedule for the visit to Tbilisi features bilateral negotiations with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The primary focus of the summit centers on strengthening the diplomatic ties, long-standing friendship, and multi-faceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
The parties plan to assess concrete measures to enhance political dialogue, expand interparliamentary relationships, and build closer partnerships between the various regions of both countries. The agenda also targets a substantial increase in trade volumes and the revitalization of joint cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Special emphasis will be placed on advancing collaborative investment projects across a wide array of economic sectors. These include manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agriculture, tourism, energy, and information technology.
Strengthening transport and logistics networks remains a top priority for both governments. The delegations will explore initiatives to enhance regional transit corridors, aiming to create more efficient trade routes and expand the geographic reach of Uzbek exports.
In addition to economic and commercial matters, the leaders will exchange views on pressing regional and international issues. The high-level summit is expected to conclude with the signing of a comprehensive package of bilateral agreements designed to deepen institutional cooperation across multiple fields.
